If what is passing today as new teaching is true, offering a second chance after the rapture to people who have heard, or could have heard the gospel, in this day of grace, then all the warnings we have heard and preached for many years have been wrong. Recent best selling books and videos that endorse this second chance theory have affected many children of Christian parents and young believers.	오늘날 어떤 새로운 가르침으로 넘어가는 것이 이 은혜의 날에 복음을 들을 수 있거나 듣는 사람들에게 휴거 뒤에 두번째 헌신하는 기회가 참으로 있는 경우, 그 때 우리가 듣게 되는 모든 경고와 긴 세월 동안 전해진 것은 잘못되었다. 최근 베스트셀러 책과 비디오들이 이 두번째 확률 이론을 시인하는 것이 그리스도인 부모들 자녀들과 어린 신자들에게 많은 영향을 끼쳤다.
The mercy of God is never promised as a future “anytime” possibility. Rather the language of many passages agrees with 2 Corinthians 6:2, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” Whatever dispensation is being addressed, the principle is that there is a time of visitation. The tender Savior wept over Jerusalem and said, “… thou knewest not the time of thy visitation” (Luke 19:44). In speaking of the gospel going out to Gentiles, Peter wrote that, “they may glorify God in the day of visitation” (1 Pet 2:12). The solemn warning, “Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth” (Prov 27:1), does not vaguely speak of a future offer of salvation.	하나님의 자비는 결코 미래 “언제든지” 가능한 것으로 약속되지 않는다. 오히려 많은 구절들의 표현이 고린도후서 6:2과 일치한다, “보라 지금은 은혜 받을만한 때요 보라 지금은 구원의 날이로다.” 무엇이든지 베풀고 돌아보는 때가 있다는 원칙이 언급되고 있다. 동정심 많은 구주는 예루살렘을 향해 눈물을 흘리며 말씀하시기를, “…이는 너를 돌아보는 때를 네가 알지 못하였기 때문이라”(눅 19:44). 이방인에게 향하는 복음을 말하면서 베드로는 기록하기를, “그 돌아보시는 날에 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하려 함이라”(벧전 2:12). “너는 내일 일을 자랑하지 말라 하루 동안에 무슨 일이 날는지 네가 알 수 없음이니라”(잠 27:1)는 엄숙한 경고는 막연하게 구원에 관한 미래의 제공을 말하지 않는다.
This agrees with the teaching of the Lord Jesus in Luke 13:25, “When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are.” Proponents of this new theory tell us that Matthew 25:10-13 and Luke 13 only apply to the end of the tribulation days. In 2 Thess 2:7, the One who restrains Satan from producing his man of sin is the Holy Spirit. “He will be taken out of the way,” ek mesou literally means, “out of the midst.” This is the unique character of this age, when the Spirit dwells in the midst of the church. This agrees with the fact that there will be a great outpouring of the Spirit in the Day of the Lord (Joel 2:28), but there is no suggestion that He will indwell those who believe the Gospel of the Kingdom in that day.	데살로니가후서 2:7에서 죄의 사람이 일어나는 것에서 사단을 억제하는 분은 성령이다. “그 중에서 옮길 때까지 하리라,” ἐκ μέσο"(에크 메소스)는 문자 그대로의 “가운데로부터” 의미이다. 이것은 성령이 교회 가운데 거주할 때, 이 시대 유일한 특성이다. 이것에 의하여 주의 날(요엘 2:28)에 성령의 큰 부어주심이 있을 것이라는 사실과 일치한다. 그러나 그분께서 그 날에 왕국의 복음을 믿는 사람들 안에 거하실 것을 암시하는 것이 없다.
Who will be saved when this gospel is “preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations”? Not any who could have been saved in this day of grace. This language is crystal clear, “They received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved” (2 Thess 2:10). These people might have been saved. Verse 12 takes in this vast company and says, “That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unright-eousness.” The “lie” (v 11) is the man of sin. The “Truth” is the One who said, “I am the Truth.” This agrees fully with the Lord’s own words, “He that rejecteth Me, and receiveth not My words ... the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:48).	이 복음이 “모든 민족에게 증거되기 위하여 온 세상에 전파되”는 때 누가 구원받을 것인가? 이 은혜의 시대에 구원받을 어떤 사람도 아니다. 이 어법은 명명백백하다, “저희가 진리의 사랑을 받지 아니하여 구원함을 얻지 못함이니라”(살후 2:10). 이 사람들이 구원 받았을 수도 있다. 12절은 “진리를 믿지 않고 불의를 좋아하는 모든 자로 심판을 받게 하려 하심이니라”고 말하는 것과 이 거대한 교제를 취하고 있다. “거짓”(11절)은 죄의 사람이다. “진리”는 “내가 진리다”고 말씀하셨던 분이다. 이것은 주님 자신의 말씀처럼 완전히 일치한다, “나를 저버리고 내 말을 받지 아니하는 자 … 곧 나의 한 그 말이 마지막 날에 저를 심판하리라”(요 12:48).
Can anyone in enlightened lands such as Canada, the U.K. and the U.S.A. get saved in the Day of the Lord? We must understand that this decision does not lie with us, “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Gen 18:25). He will know exactly who has refused the Savior and who has not. God will make no mistakes, but to offer to unbelievers, in this day, a hope of being saved in a future day runs counter to every warning of Scripture. “To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts” (Heb 3:15). There must not only be the possibility of “hearing”, there must be a willingness to hear (Rom 10:17).	캐나다, 영국과 미국과 같은 개화된 땅에서 누군가는 주의 날에 구원 받을 수 있는가? 우리는 이 결정이 우리에게 거짓말을 않는다는 것을 이해해야 한다, “세상을 심판하시는 이가 공의를 행하실 것이 아니니이까?”(창 18:25). 그분께서는 누가 구세주를 거부했는지 누가 거부하지 않았었는가를 정확하게 알 것이다. 하나님은 실수하지 않으실 것이다, 그러나 이 시대에 믿지 않는 자들에게 제시하려는 것은 미래의 날에 구원 받는다는 희망은 성경의 모든 경고에 위배된다. “오늘날 너희가 그의 음성을 듣거든 노하심을 격동할 때와 같이 너희 마음을 강퍅케 하지 말라”(히 3:15). 듣기 위한 의지가 있어야 하며, “듣는 것”의 가능성은 전혀 있을 수 없다(롬 10:17).
