Once I tried to surprise my wife by making molasses oat bread. I had tasted it at my cousin's and his wife gave me the recipe. Unfortunately, I lost it. "Oh well, it can't be that difficult!" I got out some oatmeal (I guessed a couple of handfuls), flour, water (likely 1 cup, no?) and molasses. I eventually made a large ball of dough. I kneaded as much flour as I could into it because once my cousin's wife had said molasses bread uses lots of flour. I kept kneading, adding flour every few minutes. Finally, with pride, I put it in the oven. Forty-five minutes later, I pulled out a well-baked brick. It was so heavy, I thought of saving it for a doorstop. It tasted like wet cardboard with lots of flour. So what plan are you following for your life? Human nature pushes us to be the "master of our destiny" and to have the final say in all we do. When you were little, you were not equipped to make decisions so God gave you parents. Now, in the teen years, they are gradually training you and transferring responsibility for your life. So what plan are you going to pursue?	이와 같이 어떠한 계획으로 당신의 삶을 위하여 실천하고 있나요? 인간의 본성은 “우리들의 운명의 주인”이 되라고 우리에게 압력을 넣습니다. 그리고 우리가 하는 모든 것에 행위의 최종적인 결정권을 가지라고 말합니다. 어렸을 때 어떤 결정들을 내릴 준비가 되어 있지 못했습니다. 그래서 하나님은 부모를 주셨습니다. 십대 시절인 지금, 그들은 점차적으로 당신을 훈련하고 그리고 당신의 삶에 대한 책임을 넘겨주고 있습니다. 그렇다면 당신은 어떠한 계획을 추구하며 나아가나요?
Want the Plan! Rest assured, God does have a design for your life. Incredible, no? To think that the Almighty Creator cares enough about you to have a plan for you! Very often, Christian teens rightfully become burdened about what is the will of God for their lives. Questions flood the mind, such as, "What college should I go to?", "What should I study?", and "Who should I marry?" But, hold on! First, you must face the toughest of all: do you really want the will of God for your life?	계획의 필요! 안심하세요. 하나님께서 당신의 인생에 대한 구상을 가지고 계십니다. 믿어지지 않나요? 전능하신 창조주께서 당신에 대한 계획을 세우실 정도로 당신에게 지극한 관심을 기울이심을 생각해 보세요! 매우 자주, 그리스도인 십대들은 정직하게 그들의 일생 동안 하나님의 뜻에 대해 고민합니다. 마음속에서는 홍수와 같은 질문들은, “나는 어떤 대학에 들어가야 할까?” “나는 무엇을 공부해야 할까?” “나는 누구와 결혼해야 할까?” 그러나 잠깐! 먼저 당신은 모든 것 중에 가장 곤란한 것에 직면해야 합니다. 당신은 자신의 생애를 향한 하나님의 뜻을 참으로 필요로 하고 있나요?
The will of God can be subdivided into His general will for all Christians and His specific will for you. For example, the Bible says God "will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:4). Every single person in the world should learn first that God wants them to receive "the gift of God which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).	하나님의 뜻은 모든 그리스도인들을 위한 그분의 보편적인 뜻과 당신을 위한 그분의 특별한 뜻으로 나눌 수 있습니다. 예를 들어 성경에 하나님께서 말씀하십니다. “그분은 모든 사람이 구원을 받고 진리를 아는 데 이르기를 원하시느니라”(딤전 2:4). 세상에 있는 각각의 사람은 하나님의 선물을 그들이 받기를 원하신다는 것을 먼저 알아야 할 것입니다. “하나님의 선물은 예수 그리스도 우리 주를 통해 얻는 영원한 생명이니라”(롬 6:23).
Following salvation, God's plan for every Christian is that they be baptized (Matthew 28:19). Then, God wants everyone to be in the fellowship of a local church that practices according to the New Testament pattern (Acts 2:41, 42). Have you followed His general plan so far? God also has a specific and unique plan just for your life. But always, His specific plan grows out of His general will. For example, God wants those who are called to marriage to "marry in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 7:39). That is, God wants every believer to marry another believer equally surrendered to the will of God. That reduces the options by taking away the possibility of marrying an unsaved person (2 Corinthians 6:14) and all believers who are not bowing to the Lordship of Christ. Still, the choices are many. Know the Plan! So, how can you know God's will? You do not need to pray about whether you need to live a holy life or not. God has already said, "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication" (1 Thessalonians 4:3). Likely 90 percent of the will of God for your life is already revealed in His Word. We tend to focus on the unknown rather than the known. The unknown is being motivated by fear or curiosity rather than by conviction of what the Scripture says. So occupy yourself in learning God's general will and work at living a life surrendered to Him. The wise man said, "In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths" (Proverbs 3:6). God promises to direct in the unknown if we are surrendered and obedient to the known will of God. Complete surrender to His will and a daily devotion of prayer, reading His Word, and giving your all to His service and His glory is the key to having God's plan for your life.	지혜의 사람은 말했습니다. “네 모든 길에서 그분을 인정하라. 그리하면 그분께서 네 행로들을 지도하시리라”(잠 3:6). 하나님은 그분의 알려진 뜻에 몸을 맡기고 순종하면 우리가 알지 못하는 것을 직접 알려주시겠다고 약속하십니다. 그분의 뜻에 완전히 내어 맡기고 기도로 매일 헌신하세요. 하나님의 말씀을 읽고, 그리고 그분을 섬기기 위한 당신의 모든 것을 내어드리세요. 그리고 그분의 영광은 당신의 삶에 대한 하나님의 계획을 가지기 위한 비결입니다.
In so doing, you will also learn God's principles that produce wisdom for the daily and often immediate decisions in life. We are all failing creatures and can make mistakes. But spiritual believers are not spending hours laboring to seek God's will over the purchase of a $10.00 shirt. They have learned God's principles and apply them, often unconsciously as they live to serve Him in the most practical decisions of life.	그렇게 하면서 당신은 매일 그리고 종종 삶에서 즉각적인 결단 위한 지혜를 가져다 주시는 하나님의 원리도 알게 될 것입니다. 우리는 모두 연약한 피조물이고 또한 실수할 수도 있습니다. 그러나 영적인 신자들은 10달러짜리 셔츠를 구매하면서 하나님의 뜻을 구하려 애쓰며 시간을 보내지 않습니다. 그들은 하나님의 원리들을 알고 있고 그 원리들을 적용하고 있는 것입니다. 종종 알지 못하는 중에도 그들은 삶의 대부분의 실제적인 결정들 가운데서 그분을 섬기며 살고 있습니다.
Confirm the Plan! Circumstances are only valid in the measure in which they agree with the Word of God. To say the Lord is leading you to date an unsaved person because "x" happened in your life is to misinterpret the circumstance. God will never guide you against His Word. Since He has already said, "Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14), you are misinterpreting the circumstance no matter how it feels or how "miraculous" it seems. Confirmation of the plan comes through prayer, the reading of the Word of God, wise counsel from spiritual neutral parties, and through circumstances that agree with the Word of God.	계획을 확증하기 ! 환경은 오직 그것이 하나님의 말씀과 부합하는 기준에서 타당성이 있습니다. 주님께 말하기 위한 것은 그 일이 당신의 삶에 일어난 “X” 때문에 구원받지 않은 사람과 데이트하도록 인도하신 것이라고 환경을 잘못 해석한 것입니다. 하나님은 결코 그분의 말씀과 반대쪽으로 인도하시지 않습니다. 그분은 벌써 말씀하셨습니다. “너희는 믿지 않는 자들과 더불어 공평하지 않게 멍에를 같이 메지 말라”(고후 6:14) 당신은 환경에 상관없이 잘못 해석하지 말아야 합니다. 그것이 어떻게 느껴지거나 혹은 그것이 “놀랍게” 보여도 말입니다. 그 계획의 확증은 기도, 하나님 말씀 읽기, 영적으로 치우치지 않은 자들이 주는 지혜로운 조언, 하나님의 말씀과 일치하는 환경 등을 통하여 나타납니다.
Trust the Plan! God's choice is always best! Yet, why has God left such important and specific questions such as "what should I study in school" and "what job should I take" and "whom should I marry" in the unknown category? God has always wanted man to be dependent and communicative with Him daily. The uncertainty keeps us on our knees in His presence with Bibles open seeking guidance from Him. That process of seeking the will of God is just as important as the product of finding the will of God. But as the hymn goes, "Trust and obey!" In the end, you will look back and praise the Lord for "that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Romans 12:1-2).	계획을 신뢰하기! 하나님의 선택은 언제나 최상입니다! 그런데 왜 하나님은 매우 중요하고 특별한 물음들의 답을 남겨두실까요? “나는 학교에서 무엇을 공부해야 할까?”, “나는 무슨 직업을 가져야 할까?”, “나는 누구와 결혼해야 할까?”와 같이 불분명한 범주에서? 하나님은 항상 사람들이 매일 그분과 교제하고 또 의존하는 것을 원하십니다. 불확실성은 하나님의 임재 속에서 우리로 하여금 무릎을 꿇게 하고 성경을 펴고서 그분의 인도하심을 추구하도록 우리를 지킵니다. 하나님의 뜻을 추구하는 이러한 과정은 하나님의 뜻을 찾아낸 결과만큼이나 중요합니다. 어느 찬송가에 이런 가사가 있습니다. “의지하고 순종하라!” 마침내, 당신은 뒤를 돌아보면서 주님을 찬미하게 될 것입니다. “하나님의 선하시고 받으실 만하며 완전하신 뜻”(롬 12:1-2)에 대해.
So when should you begin to be concerned about the will of God? The Lord Jesus was 12 when He said, "I must be about my Father's business" (Luke 2:49). You are never too young to surrender your life to the will of God. So keep your Bible near, your knees bent, your eyes open, and your heart patient as you "live the rest of your time in the flesh … to the will of God" (1 Peter 4:2). In other words, don't make your life into a molasses oat brick. Take the challenge and choice to make God's will The Plan You Follow.	그렇다면 언제 하나님의 뜻에 대하여 관심을 갖기 시작해야 할까요? 주 예수님은 12세 때에 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “내가 반드시 내 아버지 일을 해야 함을 알지 못하셨나이까?”(눅 2:49). 하나님의 뜻에 자신의 삶을 내어드리기에 당신은 결코 너무 어리지 않습니다. 그러므로 성경을 가까이 하세요. 당신의 무릎을 꿇으세요. 당신의 눈을 뜨세요. 그리고 당신의 마음으로 인내하며 “육체의 남은 때를 … 오직 하나님의 뜻대로 살아야 하리라”(벧전 4:2). 다른 말로 하면, 당신의 인생을 당밀 귀리 빵 덩어리로 만들지 마세요. 도전과 선택으로 하나님의 뜻을 이루기 위한 계획을 따라가세요.
